Forehead woes...picture included please help me out

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody. I am 20 years old and have had acne mainly on my forehead since I was about 14. It never really used to be a huge concern to me because my hair used to cover it. I keep it shorter now and it shows more and its become pretty embarrassing and has actually gotten worse over the years. I used Proactiv for a little while but it didn't really help so my doctor prescribed me benzaclin. I've been on it for about 3 weeks and its been getting a little better but as you can see from the photo there are a lot of little red bumps and just a lot of discoloration everywhere. If anyone on here could tell me if benzaclin is a good cream to use for this type of acne I would definitely appreciate it. Also if its not, what else would you recommend? Thanks a lot guys.

Hey, i dont know if this is going to help you or not, nevertheless its worth mentioning. I just added myself to this site today, trying to find a solution to a similar problem. I'm currently using skinoren cream 20%, it works but I'm also taking anti-biotics to help new spots from occuring, which leave very deep scars on my face. I got this from the GP, who was a specialist in acne. Hopefully in a month, my major acne problem would disappear. If not im back to square one :(. If you have any questions, i'd be delighted to answer them for you!

cee

DRINK LOTS OF WATER BY THE WAY and AVOID SWEETENED DRINKS :naughty: !

WATCH YOUR DIET TOO.

YOU'LL NOTICE CHANGES IN A FEW WEEKS

THE quote above could help aswell... try not to mix them two together. the one i have i got from my GP, i dont think it is perscribed though. It should be available from your GP. visiting your GP could help a lot! :)

That looks like it'd go away in a pinch if you used benzoyl peroxide, especially if you applied it according to Dan's regimen's instructions. Get some 2.5% BP and slather on a generous layer, let it dry and go to sleep.

As above. Personally i'd just leave the antibiotic cream off that you got from the doctor and apply BP to the forehead area like on Dan's regimen and moisturise after. It should get much better within a week. But keep applying the moisturiser as your forehead will get dry after a while but if you moisturise it should not be very dry at all.

Hey guys. I've been using the regimen for about 3 days now and I can already start to see results! the redness of the entire area has started to go away and while I still have a few zits here and there, they should be gone within a week or two if I keep this up. Thank you again for all your advice :)

Excellent, my forehead used to look exactly like yours but it cleared right up after about 2 weeks on the regimen.
