Anyone know of an oil-free non-medicated (no salacylic acid, etc.) moisturizer that is non comodegenic. Please advise. My face is dry and I haven't found ANYTHING under these categories.

I can't use Cetaphil. It made my mom break out, so I'm afraid to try it.

Thanks!

I use Aveeno Ultra Calming lotion with SPF 15, moisturizes good for me and hasn't made me break out. I used to use oil of olay with spf 15 I liked that one too but it wasn't moisturizing enough so I switched to the Aveeno, but either one I say are good neither one made me break out.

My favorite is Neutrogena's Fresh Oil-Free. Not the regular old oil-free Neutrogena, but a new one in a blue tube. It's light and soaks in well and feels matte and not greasy. I had a horrible time finding a moisturizer that didn't break me out; Complex 15 and CeraVe both clog me and I hate the feel of CeraVe. Some find it to soak in well, but it stays tacky and sits on top of my skin.

There's no need to be argumentative about it :) Different things work for different people... I believe that a ton of people have good results from CeraVe, I was just sharing my personal experience. The more recommendations someone receives, the more products they'll be able to try, and the better chance they'll have of finding the product that works for them. I've tried a ton of moisturizers based on reviews, and it took me forever to find the one that works for me, but it would have taken even longer if I hadn't been able to at least narrow it down based on reviews. Makeupalley.com is a great place for reviews, by the way.

Personally, I've never read anyone saying that *this* particular Neutrogena moisturizer leaves them greasy (though I've heard that about most of them), and I can't really imagine it. It's super matte and many like it as a makeup primer, the main complaint I would imagine would be that it may not be moisturizing enough for some. And of course, everyone's skin is different as far as what clogs them, so some people might break out from it, just like I break out from several moisturizers that many acne-prone people may love. The point is, skincare is very much a "your mileage may vary" issue, and the important thing is to try different products until you find what works for you. It's not an "I'm right, you're wrong" matter; it's a matter of different things working better for different people.

I use Aquaphor because I just started to get some dry skin, it works very well. I also use Johnson Baby Oil Gel. Lol. It has Vitamin E and Aloe Vera in it.
