Man, i wish it did. I've heard a lot of hearsay about the supposed health benefits of green tea. If only half of it were true, i'd be set, because i drink plenty of the stuff.

I drink this tea called "Zen" from a company called "Tazo". I got hooked on the stuff a few years ago, and now i drink it with every meal. I brew it like regular tea with this special iced tea/coffee maker, although i don't use ice. I prefer to have it cold as opposed to hot. In fact, it makes all the difference to me.

Anywho, i have very oily skin. My acne started after i was already drinking the tea, so i can't comment on it's preventative properties. Regardless, i would recommend the tea to anyone even if it didn't have any health benefits at all. The fact is, if you substitute the tea for soft drinks or other unhealthy drinks, you are bound to see a difference simply because the stuff you stopped drinking wasn't very good for you. Plus it tastes so damn good that it doesn't feel like you're giving up anything.

If you're making green tea, assuming that you use good loose leaf tea and not the useless stuff in the bags, you should never pour boiling water on it. It starts to cook the leaves and that's very bad. Instead just wait a minute before pouring the water. If you want it cold you must let it steep in hot water first and then refrigerate it. If you just steep it in cold water you won't get near the benefits.

Hmmmmmm, I'm not sure about the drinking of green tea slowing down oil production. Its just supposed to have antioxidants to help with your skin.

Besides, all the water you get from drinking this should help regulate and hydrate you. Helps the kidneys do their job of flushing out your system so that your skin doesn't have to help quite so much.
