I'm wanting to change my diet, but no gluten?

Recommended Posts

I don't normally feel sick. I don't have any health issues (the last time I was really sick was about a year ago, I don't have asthma, nothing). My only problem is acne. A lot of people report success from removing gluten from their diet. I heard there are breads and pastas that are gluten-free, but they'd be hard to find where I live (35 miles to a health food store and $4.00 a gallon of gas? Ohh, the pain!). There's also a lot of talk about people that can't tolerate dairy. And not to mention that I'm a teenager. So, technically, it feels stupid not to eat what I want when I want.

I also don't know where to start with a different diet. I'm a very picky eater (the only fish I like is salmon, and the one my parents looks like a steak, and is completely boneless).

How can I find out if I'm sensitive to gluten/dairy?

you could test it for a few weeks, usually you will know by then, i felt better within a week and most of my acne went after i was strict, dairy i never had a big thing for so i buy almond milk and avoid all things with cheese in it, another way to test it is through enterolab, they do gluten sensitivity tests as well as milk, but i would try the gluten free diet first, if you have just an intolerence a doctor usually cant test, but a doctor doesnt test for celiac unless you have a lot of the symptoms
