I Need Good Honest Advice. Pictures Included

Recommended Posts

Hey everybody, I'm new to the boards but don't be gentle, I want blunt honest opinions. Below is two pictures of my scaring. The first one is with bright light and I tried to take the second one in bad lighting. I've had 5 chemical peels done and 3 fraxel sessions done with little if any improvment. Since those procedcures I've went to two different derm. with two different courses of action

First derm told me I should use fat taken out of my own body to fill in the scaring. It would cost 1,000 and 300 for each touch up session. She didn't want to use a laser because she said it would kill my beard and perhaps make some portions of my face lighter than others.

Second derm wants me to get some kind of laser resurfacing done. I'm not quite sure what it was called but it wasn't fraxel, it was the laser that sorta shot the beam out in a square like fashion. It would cost me 3000 and a week of downtime. She said it was possible it would kill my beard but she said my scaring wasn't very deep so she might not have to go that deep to the hair foticles.

After looking at my pictures what would any of you do? My scarring looks not so bad in some light but then again in some lighting I look horribly disfigured. For some reason I can't upload the second pic.

Your face looks pretty good to me. I can see some scarring, but it looks pretty mild. A guy at my job had some kind of resurfacing done for acne scaring, and enden up looking worse. Kind of like a bad facelift. It looked tight and not natural. He looked fine before. So do you!

I agree. I think you look fine, in all honesty, your scars are mild and they are not the first thing I see when looking at your face! You have good features overall so I think it's not worth it to blow all that money for a little bit of improvement! Good luck!

i would want to keep your beard, so rule out the laser stuff.

I think fillers may wourk pretty well on your scars.
