about to start using Tretinoin 0.1%

Recommended Posts

Im about to start this new prescription tonight and i think im going to use the Biore 2% SA ice cleanser instead of using both that AND a BP wash.

Does that sound good?

Anything else i should know about Tretinoin?

thanks!

I've done Tretinoin for about 17 weeks now, for some reason I experienced worse breakouts when I used a BP wash with it (Lavoclen).

I recently stopped using my SA wash and used some green tea and uniquinone wash instead, had more breakouts as well.

So I would suggest you try SA + Tretinoin.

How long have you been using Tretinoin? What concentration? Any results?

I currently am using Tretinoin .025% and I think if I used a stronger one I would have no more skin left!! I recommend using a gentle cleanser such as CeraVe or Cetaphil and let the Tretinoin do the job by itself.

I have never heard of ZapZyt.

You can try just Cetaphil alone and letting Tretinoin do the job, but I just did that for 2 weeks and seemed to be getting a lot of comedones (~4/night). 5 days after I started the SA wash again, and I have no new comedones.

Again, your personal results may vary. It wouldn't hurt to try both options.
