low carb questions

If you are on a low-carb diet, how many carbohydrates do you actually consume a day?

Is there a cereal I can have on this diet with soy (non dairy) milk?

Also, is there a difference between the carbohydrates in fruits, candy, and say a cereaL high in carbs, but high in fiber, like Raisin Bran?

When trying to go low-carb, I feel that I cannot eat anything but meat and salads, it is driving me crazy...

There isn't any cereal you can eat while low-carbing.

And if you only eat meat and salads, you will be sure to fail. You have to add fat, or else the low carb diet becomes counterproductive. At least 60% of my calories come from fat, mostly in the form of oils or butter or cream (or from meat).

I usually eat around 50g of carbs everyday, sometimes much less, mostly in the form of carrots, onions, avocados, tomatoes, and the occasional piece of fruit.
