Is this too harsh for my skin? I also need a product recommedation.

Recommended Posts

Im going to use a new regimen

but since my skin works really well with Salicylic Acid products i'm having trouble finding an all over spot treatment. do you guys know of a good one?with more than 1.5% Salicylic Acid?

My regimen (haven't tried it yet, but am buying products soon)

Wash with Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with tea tree oil

Nivea Visage Moisturizing Toner/rose water/ body shop tea tree oil toner

moisturize with neutrogena rapid clear acne defense lotion(hard to find)

neutrogena on the spot with 2.5% BP/ Neutrogena acne stress control hydrating treatment with 2.5% Salicylic Acid

Do you guys think that my using benzoyl peroxide & Salicylic Acid products will harm my skin even more?

Yes, you can use both products at the same time but I would like to suggest that you should try BP a small place.

I notice that Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with tea tree oil will clog your pore because it has coconut oil in their ingredient.

oh mannnn. i thought it was going to be a great product.

-_-

Still might be something worth trying. You don't know the amount of coconut oil in it. Personally, I'd start out with the basics of wash and moisturize. Let your skin get used to it, then introduce the extras one by one and see how you react. That way if you have issues, you know what's causing them. Good luck!

I use 2% BHA (salicylic acid) and 2.5% BP all over my face every night and it's fine. I get a bit dry, but not so dry that a light moisturizer doesn't take care of it. I would recommend, though, that you stick to using a pretty gentle cleanser with those products. No need to strip any more moisture from your skin than necessary.

Paula's Choice makes really great BHA products.
