Clindamycin Phospate 1.2%

Recommended Posts

I'm in my early twenties with moderate acne and i'm not sure if I sure try this product with active ingredient of Clindamycin Phospate 1.2% (equivalent to 1% Clindamycin), 0.05% Methyl paraben, propyl Paraben 0.o25%. I have no known allergies. Are there any known side effects of long term use of these chemicals?

I haven been using DUAC, which contains 1% Clindamycin, for a few days now and it's working really well. The only thing I can tell you about Clindamycin is the following, which is taken from a magazine by a respectable German non-profit organization which is specialized on consumer protection:

Bottom line (if you don't speak German): It can be dangerous if you have ever had problems with your intestines. You are not supposed to take it together with products containing Erythromycin. See your GP if you have bloody Diarrhea. Don't use it during pregnancy. Acne Bacteria might become resistent.

Hope that helps...
