Is it possible to overdose?

Im getting all my supplements in line. I got my fish oil ones thanks to some help from people on here. I also want to take Zinc just because I think it will help. What happens if I get the recommended amount of zinc on a daily basis already and then I turn around and take a Zinc supplement? Is it possible to overdose? I was just going to do a small mg, like 10 or 15.

Also, do I need to take anything with the zinc?

You should be fine taking 25-30mg of Zinc as long as you don't exceed over 100mg of it per day.

If you've eaten grains and similar foods throughout your life you will not have had optimal zinc absorption, and if you've had a diet high in HFCS, then you won't have had optimal zinc function. Just a heads-up.

The RDA for zinc is too low anyway, taking a 25-50 mg supplement shouldn't cause any problems. If you go higher than 25 mg, consider a copper supplement.

any natural source of copper? I'm taking 50 gm of zinc, plus I eat meat every time, I should'

ve gotten the 25 one but what the heck

I just found out that almonds, sunflower seeds and walnuts have copper, I eat them often, should it be good enough??

what if I cut the zinc tablet in half?

3 oz beef liver has 12 mg of copper!! wow maybe I'll see if I can get one

Yeah, I was just about to suggest liver.

There are some random foods that are rich in copper, I just can't think of them right now. :surprised:
