Snack 0 Posted April 5, 2008 Just curious. I see a lot of varied information on the internet. I get a moderate amount of soy in my diet (doesn't seem to affect my skin), so...would be a good thing to know if it's doing harm somehow. =P

User24582 4 Posted April 5, 2008 A lot of people have reported that soy breaks them out. Other than that, there are these issues: http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/index.html Also, soy contains opioid peptides, which are also in the most common foods reported to cause breakouts: gluten and dairy
Snack 0 Posted April 6, 2008 I've heard good things about almond milk. Would that be a healthier alternative? I only drink like 1 glass of soy milk a day, but if there's a hint that it might not be doing my skin any favors, maybe it'd be best to switch to something else. rakbs 1 Posted April 6, 2008 Almond milk is somewhat better. I think that if soy breaks you out, then it's going to be bad for your body. Simple as that. Apples break me out, and so I know that they're bad for my body. If something was at all good for you, it wouldn't result in new pimples upon consumption.
