Advice for freckles. Rather, a person with freckles.

I have freckles and pimples. Has anyone figured out a way to cover up zits without covering up my face totally?

If I cover up a spot, I have to cover up my whole face because there will be a freckle-free spot in one section.

Also, for days that I don't have too many zits, I need a good transparent powder that gets rid of shine, doesn't feel cakey, doesn't promote more zits and allows my freckles to come through.

One more question: has anyone ever removed their freckles? Can people do that?

I have been in the same situation. I was always scared to use fading creams for spots or discoloration because I didn't want more acne. I found out that Palmer's Skin Success cream for oily skin is the cheapest and safest way to treat freckles on problem skin. In the states you can buy it for no more than 5 dollars and it'll last about 2months. When I use it I don't breakout and my skin feels tight but not dry so I love it and the price too. Good luck!! biggrin.gif/

Aminegirle: I'm not familiar with dermabrasion. Can you take me through the basics?

Judith, what do you mean by "treat freckles"?

I'm sorry it took so long for mr to reply!

When I say treat freckles, I mean fade. I hope it'll work for you because it was great for my skin when my freckles were my biggest concern. Now due to hormonal changes, I'm placing acne treatments before freckles but as soon as I can get my acne down to a mild stage, I'll use the fading cream again.

the skin specialist that i visited gave me a liquid nitrogen treatment. Liquid nitrogen is sprayed on the freckles to destroy the topmost skin layer. the area will kind of turned black, like a scar. But after a week, the 'scar' falls off and the freckle is gone! it's also cheaper than most other treatment..

Thanks peppergirl. A lot of people say they love freckles but I just feel like they look bad on me. Then again, they do blend the red marks from blemishes. I think I'll keep them for now. The ways to get rid of them sound more painful than applying and removing makeup.
