Hi

I'm really confused and helpless at the moment, you're my last hope! My derm tried almost everything with me...i used Differin (dried my skin out horribly), Accutane (twice, one succesful treatment 5 years ago, one unsucessful 1-year low dose treatment until 4 months ago), oral antibiotics (not helpful anymore) and now Skinoren. I've been using it only for 1.5 weeks now and so far I'm quite happy...not that it worked yet but it doesn't dry out my skin!! I always apply it in the evening and in the morning my nose is still extremely oily! Is this normal? Can I apply Skinoren cream twice daily? I have very special acne. My face is mostly clear (sometimes I also get there a pimple) but I almost only have acne around my jaw.

Yesterday I was at another derm, since I wasn't too happy with mine yet. This guy probably didn't know anything....he said he doesn't think I have acne, this is all because I shave wrong. Funny thing is, I hardly have any beard growth, only around my mouth where I don't have any acne. He suggested I should shower in the morning, use some salicyl alc. before shaving on my jaw, shave and then use some antioxidant cream. What do you think about this? He said I should never ever use any moisterizer around my jaw after shaving because he thinks this causes the very mild acne (he thinks) I have...

I'm confused, helpless and sad. Acne destroys my life...shouldn't I just use twice daily Skinoren and try to avoid moisterizer? but since when is moisterizer bad? :(

Nobody can help me? At least give me a safe method to kill myself, that's just another option I'm considering at the moment :(

Jawline acne they say is hormone related. Search the site.

P.S. I used Skinoren this summer and found that it was pretty good!
