Now that my face is SUPER dry

Recommended Posts

When i run my hands across my face it doesn't feel like skin anymore, it feels like sandpaper, and i am only in day 90.

I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who is in the same situation and is just washing face with plain water and getting no breakouts. I don't feel like washing my face with ANY soap, even if it says "for sensitive skin" or anything...cause even a little will dry my face more.

Before accutane i had severely oily skin and thought "i would never have a dry face." Boy was i wrong.

I'm on Accutane and i just wash my face with normal soap and water. Nothing else. I let the medicine do its thing. My skin isn't dry.

I am not on accutane. But I find Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser does not dry my skin at all.

I am familiar with accutane regimens but if you can exfoliate you should do that. It should help clear the dried skin up.

I am finding that even the "sensitive" face washes are stinging and causing irritation. My Pharmacist suggested I wash with aqueous cream. I wet my face, rub on a small amount of the cream then rinse it off once I've lightly massaged it in for a few seconds. So far, so good. Still dry, but no where near AS dry.

why not just wash it with good ol' water. Maybe your skin would be even less dry then.

This is my first day just washing my face with water and it is still dry. i dont want to moisturize. Moisturizing might cause breakouts and it would look like i have oily skin all over again.
