Songs that will change your life

Recommended Posts

everyone should be forced to listen to Dance With The Devil by Immortal Technique. Its the most bone chilling deeply affecting story ever put to music.

I'm sorry but Immortal Technique sucks, as a rapper and a person. "Dance with the Devil" is ripped straight from one of Shakespeare's play "Hamlet". He has the same flow for every song, and so much filler stuff or tracks where he just talks in his albums, and I can't respect anyone who does a song about 9/11 conspiracies.

Watch Loose Change or Terrorstorm. I can't respect anyone who believes what the media tells them and neglects all logicalness and proof of a conspiracy.

About Immortal Technique you can still disagree about 9/11 and recognize that 90% of what he's saying about structural injustice and racism in America is completely true. But anyway, as for songs that will change your life

Talib Kweli - Get By. The chorus. Amaaaazing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS7CZIJVxFY. Life as spiral. It's so incredibly influential I could write about this song forever.

and anything by MGMT. It's MGMT. Anything.

^^ I like "Just to Get By"! His rhyme pattern on that song is nuts, plus it actually has some meaning to it unlike 99 percent of rap nowdays.

How is a song supposed to change my life? How weak do you have to be for you to be "changed" by a song?

Coming from the man that has Lenny Kravitz as his avatar pic...

Lol music has changed generations. Ever heard of the Beatles???

Ever listened to Dark Side of the Moon on LSD or any psychoactive for that matter??

Music has power, POWER i tell you.

Everything you do changes you. You will never be the same. Ever. And ummm, all artwork is transformative - that's the whole point of being unique and original.

I own Pink Floyd's complete collection. Music just isn't anything moving. If you get up and do some work or some type of community activity, you'll be moved. But you're not going to get "moved" by some song.

Are you talking from a point of view that Jimi Hendrix would take or a point of view that Einstein would take?

I don't understand whether you're trying to tell me in scientific explanations (which I would better understand) or in an "artsy" explanation.
