Green Cream or its equivalent in Europe

I got some Green Cream from Ebay and not only did it get taken into customs for 2 weeks, they charged me an import tax that equals more than what I paid for it.

Does someone know of a retailer in Europe or Green Creams equivalent here?

Thanks

Well I'm not so sure about its equivalence but Diacneal is another good retinol product and im pretty sure europeans can get their hands on it. They also make YSTheal or something by that name thats the same as green cream but less irritating

I don't know where you can get it but you could avoid the customs tax by asking the seller to write on the customs form that it's worth only $30. Anything up to £18 clears customs without any problems with no charges. Just ask them before you order whether they can do it for you and make sure they don't include a receipt. I'm all for paying my taxes (and I pay a lot of them!) but I think the government really are taking the p*ss when it comes to customs tax. You have to pay something like 15-20% on top of the handling fee which can be between £10-£20!! I had to pay £30 to receive a birthday PRESENT from the US once!

Diacneal is made by Avene, and I believe that Avene products are sold over the counter in Europe. I would recommend it as well ... it contains 6% glycolic acid as well as retinaldehyde and is quite effective against mild acne.

If you don't like the GA in the formulation, you could try the Ystheal, which is more like GC. Neither Diacneal nor Ystheal is as strong a retinoid as GC Level 9, but I would say they are roughly comparable to Level 6.

Jan Marini also makes a good retinol product ..... I don't know if that line is available in Europe or not. Skinceuticals is another name that comes to mind, though I don't know much about the product.

I don't mind paying the extra for shipping but the import tax is a bitch. I think instead of ordering from Ebay I'm going to their own site, www.shimmerskincare.com and write them a mail explaining what to do. Whether they do it or not remains to be seen.
