acne_battle 6 Share Posted March 22, 2008 All I can think of to suggest is make sure your shampoo and conditioner (if you even use conditioner, I dont) that it doesnt contain the ingredient Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, thats not to be confused with Sodium Laureth Sulfate of course

whatarewethinking 0 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Ok so i never thought of my shampoo! I thought of soaps and all that shit. I just relized most of us put that crap in hair and just spray it off letting it run off everywhere. I am gonna try and avoid that from now on. Thanks for idea. willeh 1 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Also, hairsprays and hair styling gels and all that stuff are mostly pore clogging (what's that word comedegenic or something can't spell it >.<), so when using hairspray try and avoid getting it on your face, and when exercising and sweating, the gel could 'melt' and mix with the sweat, when the sweat slides down your forehead = chance of spots forming. whatarewethinking 0 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Well i use neither so thats good. I just looked at shampoo and it has ammonium lauryl sulfate. Is that just as bad. It also has the laureth

ayla 149 Share Posted March 22, 2008 both lauryl and laureth are comedogenic (pore clogging)
yuzer 0 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Differin 0.3 prevents whiteheads. I guarantee it will clear your forehead, just give it time (several months). And when you're working a sweat outside, make sure you take a shower right after. Dry sweat will clog your pores and give you whiteheads.
