So what does actually work and has had wide success?

Recommended Posts

I've had red marks for about 2 years and I can't say they have improved that much. I see that AHA's are really good but we don't really find much of that in the U.K. (unless someone can recommend a product that can be brought in shops), also, I heard the egg + lemon juice mask is good?

Can anyone recommend further?

Thank you.

I found a 15% strength bottle of Glycolic Acid I found on eBay to be the most effective. Spread it on with a cotton-wool pad, leave for a couple of mins and rinse off with loads of water.

Alternatively, you could try Bicarbonate of Soda (NOT baking soda) to see if this works, although it didn't for me. There are plenty of posts on BC, and a load of instructions in the reviews section.

what does the glycolic acid do? help to "bleach" that marks away in a sense?

no it exfoliates and removes skin from the epidermis which will essentially peel them off
