The Gentle Regimen

Recommended Posts

OK, so I stumbled on this regimen a few weeks ago, and it has been working out great for me. Like all great inventions (ahem, Silly Putty) it was a complete accident I came over this. Long story short: a few weeks ago, I was on vacation, and was only able to apply DK's Regimen once a day at night. What do you know, my acne started to look pretty good! I think it was because my acne was not being irritated by anything during the day, and thus, it looked less inflamed and red. I don't know how it will work for you, but if you want to try, here it is:

Morning:

Just the basics. If you're a guy like me, shave gently with a Gillette Sensor Excel razor (it's very gentle) and some shave gel. Then, skip aftershave, and go straight to a cleanser. I recommend Sea Breeze. Moisturize only if you really need it.

During the day:

Try not to touch your face, or eat food that makes acne look bad, like kelp or anything greasy. Also, drink plenty of water.

Night:

Use DK's Regimen. I also take zinc and fish oil supplements, which kind of makes my acne better.

That's it! You'll actually start to see results very soon. Keep in mind that this isn't a "it will get worse before it gets better" regimen, so if your acne starts to look bad, stop immediately and go back to what ever works for you. Let me know what you think!!

I apply BP on my back, and it keeps it totally clear. Just wear a white t-shirt so that you don't bleach your clothes. No biggie.

Yeah, everything except for my back acne :( Any suggestions??

LOLZ, I'm on a "Hey, it works for me" regimen too! I think you should stick to whatever helps your skin :)
