accutane can stay in your system for up to 6 months, and some of its side effects take time to get back to normal. dry skin being one, the possible reason for you being so white is you avoided the sun whilst on accutane and the accutane causing your skin to dry out and peel and flake, maybe some areas peeled more than others? give it time. keep moisturizing and if you like exfoliate 2-3 times a week. to help with removing dry dead skin.

your so lucky to be clear

I'm afraid your skin will never go back to normal. The side effects hold forever. I'm seven months post and the redmarks, scars and paleness is still present. Besides, the acne has begun to come back as well. Accutane is a joke.

Well, if it's not back to normaln after 7 months...How long should you wait? 20 years? It's a fucking scandal it isn't back to normal the week after finishing...seven months is a disaster that someone should pay the price for.

Im 2 months post tane and my face is like yours.. pale and were i had the acne its all red and looks just like spots its pathetic.

I want to know like you.. when the redness will go away and make my whole face white and blended in.

I want to go on the sunbeds and blend my face in so its all brown, but i have the feeling il go on and were my current redness is its just going to go more red and look a show even more.

Its a joke were people have severe acne and clear, and people like me and you have mild acne and it doesnt go away.

All i want to know is how to make the redness go back to normal and go my normal skin colour.

But people on here are just like me and you dont have a clue and try everything under the sun and spend all their money trying stuff that doesn't work.

Because if they really new how to fix the redness they would tell you.

People say ow it takes 12 months to go back to normal others say a few weeks others say 2 months orher say 6 months.. no1 has a clue and their all talking out of their arce.

If you want to improve your skin go to a specialist and ask pros, dont ask on here. thats what im doing.

try using a moisturiser with tanning agents in it. they adapt to your skin colour and darken the shades. the more frequently you apply the more darker the results i use nivea 2wice daily it hides red makrs too i especially like it cus it has jojoba oil in it aswell as vitamin a. here is a list of good ones to try.

Nivea summer beauty

Payot Face & Body Self Tanning Cream

L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Face Cream

Clarins Self Tanning Face Cream

Innoxa Sun Defence Self Tan Cream

most contain a spf of 15 but you tan better and more even with a spf as it doesn't tan to quickly increasing the premature ageing.

google them :).

It takes time, but im pretty sure you will be able to tan again within the next 12 months. Don't go mad with the sun though it will do damage.

How about just accept the fact that you're a pale person. I love how pale my skin is, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm not going to spend time and money trying to tan just because MTV told me to.

hey - I'm currently on Accutane and don't have a red face OR a white face, it's just the same. But I live in Florida, so maybe I'm still getting enough sun on a regular basis that my face just isn't changing pigment??!! Just wondering....

If i were you and was concerned enough to find out an answer, go see your dermatologist. Surely they can give you some idea of what to expect.... EVERYONE'S experiences are different; we all have different DNA and chemical makeups...... I don't know if you can just call a dermatologist to make an appt or if you have to wait a few months.... but I'd try to see if i could see a medical professional who could give you a better idea of what's going on.

Plus, ask what fake tans are good for you to use..... anything NON-comedogenic.... good luck! Patti

Some fake tans do look unreal...but that's because alot of people overdo it...if you just get a lotion that tans slowly over time and you don't overdo, it can come out to look pretty natural...just don't expect to look like you just came back from jamaica though.
