Brewers Yeast - The Secret Weapon Against Acne

Written by Raj Bhachu

Press Release

Brewers yeast – the secret weapon against acne

London, 23rd January, 2007 - A skin care range based on brewers yeast is revolutionizing the way in which acne skin is now cared for.

Acne affects the vast majority of people at some point and may have a significant negative impact on their lives. In the UK, an estimated 9 – 12 million individuals suffer from acne. Help is now at hand as Dayenne, Germany’s leading natural skin care range for oily, problem and acne-prone skin is now available in the UK.

Already a massive hit in Germany, Dayenne’s secret to perfect skin lies in using daughter brewers yeast cells in their exclusively formulated skin care range. These young yeast cells not only help acne sufferers by regulating the level of sebum produced by the skin’s pores, but also provide the skin with a healthy 5.0 pH-mark (the acid protection measure of the skin’s hydrogen concentration). The Dayenne formula also incorporates pure natural botanical extracts that have been proven to revitalize and rejuvenate skin.

Masque Dayenne, one of the company’s key skin products is a successful remedy against skin impurities. It naturally contains vitamins B1, B2, B6, nucleic acid, amino acids and biotin and with these active ingredients it is seen as a cosmeceutical to feed the skin. Used daily for 15 minutes during the first week and before menstruation, visible results can be seen within the first three days of application.

“We’re very excited about this skin care range. The greatest thing about Dayenne is that it works naturally and makes your skin feel like new,†says Mr R Bhachu, a pharmacist and director of the distributing UK Company. “It is not clear why young brewers yeast cells are effective in combating acne, but one thing that is clear is that Dayenne is natural, gentle and safe and works without drying the skin. We believe that the young yeast cells have potential in both cosmetics and skin care, as well as in pharmaceutical and para-pharmaceutical applications.â€

“Brewers yeast has fascinating skin propertiesâ€, says Harley street skin specialist Dr Aamer Khan. “I’ve noticed that it’s led to significant improvement in patients with spotty and inflamed skin. Their skin has cleared so you wouldn’t know they’d had acne.â€

A delighted and satisfied Dayenne user from Kent UK says, “The difference Dayenne has made to my skin is incredible. I only wish your products had been around when I was a teenager.†And a North Ireland user says, “I would just like to say thank you for a product that finally does what it says.

Developed by a team of skin care specialists from a French hospital in conjunction with the University of Munich, Germany, the Dayenne natural skincare line includes a day cream, night cream, cover stick, toner, cleanser, soap and sun cream. The range is available on the web at www.dayenne.co.uk

I've been a walking billboard for Brewer's Yeast for years. I wrote a great piece on Brewer's Yeast for everyone to read on these boards, but I still see people coming in here to ask what it is.

http://www.acne.org/messageboard/index.php?showtopic=121177

Hell if you put the search term Brewer's Yeast into google with acne.org name you get the piece I wrote even. See,

Do they apply live yeast to the face? Or is it dead? Cause I have a whole bag of nutritional yeast in my cabinet. I like the part where it says they look like they never had acne...that's what I want!

I know that nutritional yeast helped my acne, there's no doubt about that for me, that's what got me taking a b complex, which worked just about as well as the nutritional yeast, but is much more convenient. I just want to know if it does something if you actually apply it to the face.

I'll just try taking plain nutritional yeast and make a paste of it and use it as a mask or something, and see if it does anything. That would have to be the cheapest treatment in history if it works! lol

The product claims to be Germany's leading natural skincare line for oily skin. In fact, I have never heard of it, and I am a regular in my town's natural store. I thought I've tried them all! If it was leading as they claim, I would have seen it at the natural foods store, my beautician's office, the druggist's, or the apotheke. I haven't, and I have an eye out for new acne lines, especially if they are natural.

I was curious, so I googled it. And what do I find but .co.uk sites. Not a single German one. And since I'm googling from Germany, I should get whatever German results are out there first. That's suspicious if you ask me.

Also, this is a press release (as you can see from the url). That means the company that wants to sell its products wrote it, not a medical journal or even a newspaper. I don't mean to question the effectiveness of brewer's yeast or the experiences of board members with it, but this makes me suspicious.

Edited to add that I live in Germany.

I think the uk press release got it wrong - DC Dayenne Cosmétique GmbH claim to be

The leading German cosmetic manufacturer for problem-oily skin types.

That doesn't mean that Sai Nutrition owns Dayenne, they're just a distributor of the products based in the UK.

But there's something very weird going on there, that seems for sure!

Ok, so they have an address in Germany. But they are still not anywhere near the leading natural German brand for oily skin. I asked about them at my apotheke (where most fancy cosmetics lines are sold, as opposed to a druggist, where "high street" lines are sold) and they have never heard of them and didn't even have them in their computer system. I'll try the druggist tomorrow, but if they claim to be exclusive, so they probably don't do druggists.

You guys it's a press release. You know those articles you read in every magazine or newspaper that shows of some great thing a company did, a new discovery or some charity event, etc... that was the company putting it out for themselves.

I could put out an article right now about how I am the world's greatest sex machine.

I tried it, and it didn't do dick!!! In fact, it even caused a minor flare-up, so it's definitely off the list! USELESS!!!
