MERDERMA? can it work? help

Hi Jon..Maderma and silicone based scar gels, creams, patches etc. are for treating hypertrophic scars, which are raised. Don't waste your money on maderma and the like..they will do nothing for your indented (atrophic) scars, and may even hinder collegen production if they were to fill in by themselves over time.

take a look at the pinned section at the top of the scar forum ..it should help you out with your treatment questions. :)

sorry to hear that ..if it helps you at all, I have done the same. What I've come to learn, all over the counter scar removers are for softening raised scars.

If you purchased the products from Walmart or similiar store..they CAN be returned...I would look into it if I were you. I once bought Maderma, tried it, and then returned it to Walmart..telling them it didnt work..I got my money back.
