Here is a Healthy nutritious breakfast

Sweet potato and banana mash with chopped apples

Peel and cut up a sweet potato, good size

Microwave or boil for 10 minutes

Cut a banana into chunks

Add to sweet potato and mash together,

Sprinkle with chopped apples

This will keep you full, is incredibly healthy, low GI, no allergens, is nice and warm - like a version of porridge without grains or gluten.

Tasty as well as full of beta carotene.

I think sweet potatoes make a great breakfast food. I like to just bake slices and have with a little butter and sprinkle of cinnamon. It's like a pancake substitute that's much better for you.

I think it's a nice combo for breakfast, but low GI? Dont think so.

Some added oil would be good, and some extra fibre (flax seeds or other nuts/seeds, coconut flakes)... that would decrease the GL, Glycemic Load, which is what you have to watch, not GI.

Btw, there are people that are allergic to bananas or apples, not me though, I hope, cos I eat them a lot =)
