Dan told me that studies have shown it to last for upto 12 hours. which is why 2 applications a day(morning and evening) is usually very effective, because you get 24 hour coverage(more or less) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Dan 571 Share Posted February 14, 2004 Actually, the study I quoted shows bp lasting 24 hours. There are still an extremely low level of P.Acnes at the 24 hour point. However, through trial and error, this does not translate to clear skin. Twice daily works best for that. Why? Perhaps it is the mild drying and peeling effect of bp, but no one knows.
