Hi! I am new here and have a question about my skin

I have blistery places on my face that never seem to heal. I do pick at my face, but I find once I am able to get a sandy grain out of that area--the place will heal. My face also has what I call cystic type acne on my chin or jaw line. They are just hard large bumps that take forever to go away. I don't have teen age acne. I used to have very good skin. I do have some facial hair and I don't know if these areas could be ingrown hair. I am 47, have had a hysterectomy at 32, and these areas have gotten worse in the past 5 years. I have been to a derm. He said to lose weight and take spiro. I did not take it because the pharmacist made worried because she said that my blood pressure might go high. I have tried many types of skincare. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Rhonda

Maybe try a different dermatologist. There are so many options available now, maybe a different Doctor could go over some of them with you.

Also, these boards are really great! There are so many different types of treatments that people are trying. You could read all night long and not get to the end. Maybe you will find something here that works.

Hope you find something that works. Good Luck!
