accutane + dieting...?

Recommended Posts

Yes it is safe and advisable, but not for the reason you're probably thinking...

From my accutane expirience, eating healthy and avoiding sugary junk food has seemed to dramatically "aid" the accutane clearing. I'm sure this was probably just the overall health contributing to the health of my skin, allowing my skin to 'cooperate' more effectively with the drug

As for the trademark 'is it safe' tag that goes with most accutane posts, yeeeeesssss. While it is a serious drug and all that goodness, it's not chemotherapy. I'v been on the highest dose (80/day) for a while and my bag of deathly side effects? Dryness and chapped lips!! Who would have guessed that! Not trying to be mean but come on now folks

So maintaining a healthy diet w/o much junk food is the way to go on accutane.

Hope that helps hang in there tane travelers
