Olay Moisture Therapy Sensitive Skin?

I just bought this Olay Moisture Therapy for Sensitive Skin and noticed that there was a slight stinging and flaking. This product contains aloe and chamomille. I have dry sensitive skin and my forehead and cheeks are chapped. Do products with aloe or chamomille cause stinging or flaking.

Aloe is a relative of the onion, and chamomile is a relative of ragweed. So if you have allergies or sensitivities to those things it's possible.

But, it is also common for any moisturizer to sting at the beginning of the regimen because the skin is sensitized from the benzoyl peroxide.

It doesn't matter, dry skin can burn when moisturizer is applied. Have you ever had cracked dry hands in the winter, applied moisturizer and it stung? This is the same idea.

Yes but I am not using benzoyl peroxide.

Oh, well in that case I'll move your questions out of this forum. This is a forum for people on Dan's regimen, and benzoyl peroxide is necessary to do Dan's regimen.

Yes, I agree. Anytime the skin is irritated whether it be from the weather or acne medications, products have the potential to sting.

Yes, it is a possibilty that because your skin is chapped as you say that moisturizer will cause a stinging senstation. This is the most likely culprit. As soon as your skin is hydrated it should go away. If not then it could be the preservatives and you might want to try a different moisturizer. In my experience, all moisturizers sting my skin when it is dry.
