Genetic gulten / wheat intolerance

My mum cannot eat pasta, white bread, french baguette, pastry etc. She is not coeliac.

It makes her bloated and have to use the toilet though.

Does this mean she is wheat / gluten intolerant? Anyway, it doesn't affect her skin.

What I was wondering is, could I have the same intolerance but it shows up in my acne? I doubt it is an allergic response, and I am not coeliac, but these products, espeically pasta seem to make me flare up.

Could I just have a similar intolerance where the symptom is acne?

Anyway, I have stopped eating bread, pasta, noodles, oats, rice....I am not sure what this will prove, however.

She is most likely wheat or gluten intolerant/sensitive.

A gluten intolerance/sensitivity can cause acne in some people, so it would be no surprise if it's causing acne in you too. There are a lot of people here who are avoiding gluten because it makes them break out.

Gluten is in wheat, rye, barley and most oats. It's not in rice, so you could still eat that.
