Derm appt. soon, need advice, and I have pics.

I have an appointment Tuesday to see a derm about my redness and scars. I don't have health insurance so the visit will cost $75. I'm hoping that a few chemical peels will be enough to get rid of the redness and scars, but I'm also worried how much would each peel cost if I don't have insurance. Right now, I have about $2000 saved.

So, can anyone look at my pics and see what would work?

In my opinion, the peel may work for the redness but has a low probability of working on your scars...

What kind of scars do you think I have? Rolling or maybe icepick? If they don't work for the scars, then could I possibly get saline injections?

Tough to tell. Looks like rolling scars on the left side. Don't see scarring on the right.

You could try a filler like restylane on your left side, it may last a long time, depends on the person, and it could also stimulate collagen very similar to the way saline does. I'm not sure if you would need subcision first though. They say if you can stretch those scars and they dissappear, you don't need subcision. I don't think chemical peels will do anything for you.

Sigh*. I was a bit happy to finally see a derm and now with the replies, I'm starting to get sad. What about a TCA or would no peel work? I know I should wait to see the derm Tuesday, but I thought maybe I could get a little insight.

Funny thing is, when I'm outside, the redness isn't that bad, but those pics I took was in my bathroom with a very tanish lighting. Brings them out more. Pictures like this really hide flaws and it makes my skin look perfect:

I'm really hoping there's good news and any solution the derm mentions will be less than $2000.
