Hey, I just saw a dermatologist and he very quickly prescribed me differin and minocin

my question is I think he told me to apply the differin twice a day, however i was wondering would it be a good idea to just test it out once a day at first in case it might have an adverse effect?

or is it a better idea to start off using it twice a day from the get go?

Ive heard a couple posts saying it can be bad for the skin which is why im hesitant

one more thing, should i start taking the minocin pills a couple days before i start the differin or should i start them simultaneously?????

any help is much appreciated, THANKS!

Hmm, twice a day?

Thats strange as all retinoids should only be apply once a day (at night only) due to they react with sunlight and can cause more harm than good.

I would only apply it at night :) thats how i got the best results.

good luck :)

I was also wondering, how do you apply differin?

i mean like does it go all over the face or only affected areas,

or is it more of a spot treatment?

Thanks alot by the way!

Differin is usually an all over thing but I've read on here about some using it only on affected areas. Use a pea-sized dab. Gently glide small bits of that dab over your face. No need to rub it in. Make sure your skin is not wet at all when you apply it to avoid some unpleasant irritation. Good luck with it!
