desirae 0 Share Posted November 6, 2007 If you were having allergic breakouts to BP you would have had it at every strength level. You could have applied slightly more when you did have the breakout, and maybe your skin got irritated.--------------------My RegimenMorning- Wash face with Glytone face wash.- Take 2 tablets of Purivol ClearComplex.Night- Wash face with Glytone face wash.- Apply Green Cream- Take 2 tablets of Purivol ClearComplex. willow569 7 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Is it possible to be allergic/break out to 2.5% and 10% BP, but not 5%? And why It might be an ingredient in the BP product formulations that broke you out. Not all BP's are the same or contain the same ingredients. For example, one CVS brand of BP has a very comedogenic ingredient in it. Others aren't effective due to improper PH balances. So, the 5% may just be a better product than the others, or just a formulation that your skin likes better for whatever reason.
ScoobyDoo 2 Share Posted November 6, 2007 Is it possible to be allergic/break out to 2.5% and 10% BP, but not 5%? And why You could be allergic to the base of the product and not the medicine itself. 10% BP cream fried my skin. My derm prescribed Brevoxy, an 8%BP gel and it didn't bother my skin at all.
