Oh and about 'ugly betty'. How stupid is that show? to make her 'ugly' they gave her fucking glasses and braces. Pathetic. I want to see cystic acne that explodes half way through filming, scars, black eyes and a mowhawk. I find it insulting to those with diseases like acne.

EDIT: (seems like i screwed the first bit of the poll, apologies)

Mine's a lot with the isolation, consistency, and "why me?" factor. A lot of my friends have acne free complexions, yet when I ask them about their regimens, all of them say that they only wash their face every day and that's it. I'm the one who uses masks weekly, treats spots religiously, drinks a ton of water, eats tons of fruits & vegetables, and uses sunscreen daily, yet I'm the only one who has acne. My acne is very consistent, too. I have isolated breakouts and spots, and whenever they clear up, as if on cue, new spots begin to form, and the whole cycle repeats - it's so frustrating.

I picked all of the above, but the one that mostly affected me was the depression, I went through almost a month or so without stepping out of my house because I was too much of a pussy and I spent my days crying. =[

The ugly appearance. I hold myself to higher standards than I'll ever reach and the acne makes me extremely self-loathing. I also won't let anyone in because of it.

acne is a never ending battle, I rather have love as a bettle field and win. then have to live day by day with acne putting my face behind curtains...

I hate it when people point out my acne to me and start suggesting things to do to clear it up. Or tell me to wear makeup to cover it up.

I hate it when people assume I'm not doing anything to improve my skin or act like I deserve it. Do they think I rub grease all over my face every night before bed? haha

The day after day torture that is a regime. I try not to, but I can't help but envy my friends who barely wash their face, or just take a washcloth and some soap to it at night. Life isn't fair, and that's for sure.

Sometimes though, I have to remind myself that I am ultimately heathier because i care so much about my skin, and my body in general. I guess, for now, acne is my burden to bear. There are a lot worse things in life, I always have to tell myself this. It's selfish of me to wallow in my self pity, because I, like everyone else, hve a lot to offer to this world.

I picked everything b/c each choice was 100% the reason why I hate acne. All of them. Perhaps what has become the biggest thing for me is the day by month by year for six years. :wall:

personally, i don't like that i can't tell who i am anymore. if i say or do something, i don't know if that's me talking or doing, or the acne.

it's a horrible feeling.

Consistency. Pisses me off when i go out somewhere and later i find out i won't be able to wash my face that night or morning since i didn't take my regimen bollocks with me, then the rest of the evening is ruined as i know my skin will take it's vengeance on me later.

i'm not too keen about splashing my hard earned cash on something i for some illogical reason have to deal with. I'd save around 50 quid a month at the moment if all i had to use was water and soap. Considering i've been doing a specialist regimen, one way or the other, for about 7years now i'd say i've spent easily over 2 grand on face crap.

Going on Holiday is a pain in the arse too because if you forget one thing out of your regimen, it feels a lot worse than it really is.
