bearcat 0 Posted September 22, 2007 I use Murad Acne spot therapy which is 3% sulfur which works pretty well for inflamed acne. But I know others have used anything from AHA, TTO, or extra BP.
Stoddart 0 Posted September 28, 2007 I think any sulfur-based spot treatments are excellent for quickly shrinking flare ups. I had great success using a DDF product that had both BP and sulfur-- dramatically reduced pimple size overnight. Be careful to ONLY use these as spot treatments and not all over as in the DKR because they are incredibly drying. I'd also only use them at night for this reason, as well as the fact that they smell awful.
cool as kim deal 47 Posted September 28, 2007 A strong AHA lotion (8%+) or 10% BP are the best spot treatments I've tried. They don't work perfectly but if I start hitting upcoming pimples with AHA early enough in their life cycle, they don't seem to get as monstrously large as I would expect. brandolynn 286 Posted September 28, 2007 Yep, I agree. ^ I have a Neostrata AHA gel that I dab on and it usually kills them. Dan recommends a 10% AHA spot treatment, his favorite is Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Lotion.
