Help with dryness/flakiness

I use 5% BP, and I moisturize when necessary. The problem is though, my skin is really dry and *flaky*

Dry is one thing, moisturizing usually takes care of that, but moisturizing doesn't really help flaking. I'd try exfoliating but I think it'd be bad on my sensitive skin and i'd probably break out

Right now I can run my fingernail across my face and a bunch of dead skin will flake off and I'd have to apply water or moisturizer to make it look normal again

Also, opening my mouth very wide for a couple seconds makes everything really flaky too. How to stop flakiness???

Why use 5% BP? Personally I find hydrogen peroxide as a toner does the same thing as BP but does not dry or irritate, but if you must use BP go down to 2.5%, it is just as effectice and doesn't dry so much. I suggest using a mild AHA cleanser about 1% and use jojoba oil moisturizer, Dan Kern's is good.

Also, you could just try mixing the BP with a little moisturizer until your skin can tolerate it better.

Either way you should not let your skin stay this dry, it might cause irritation and make your acne worse. Hope this helps.

God Bless
