What is your Regimen?

Heres Mine Plain and Simple

Morning

----------

1-Daniel Kern's Gentle Cleanser

2-Apply a little Milk of Magnesia (for daily oil control)

3-Take Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplement

Night

--------

1-Dan's Gentle Cleanser

2-Dan's bp gel

3-Dan's Moisturizer

4-Take Omega-3 Fish Oil Supplement

-Sometimes I use the B.P twice daily, maybe like 3 times a week because using it twice daily everyday is a little too much for me. The less products the better.

My regimen is very simple. Dan's BP once a day. That's it. Been doing it for a year now, and I'm 100% clear.

Some people's regimens read like a stock audit at a pharmacy. Not only is it a waste of time and money, but the less you put on your skin, the better.

My derm is being pretty aggressive as of late.

Most of what I use is prescription or by reccomendation from the derm.

AM

----

Wash with Cetaphil daily cleanser

Mimyx cream on dry flaky spots (angels of nose, around eyes, upper lip and chin usually)

Clean & Clear Dual Action Oil Free Moisturizer all over

Almay line smoothing foundation

Spirinolactone

Nicomide

Yaz

Lunch

--------

Solodyn

PM

------

Wash with Cetaphil daily cleanser

Differin Gel 0.3%

Mimyx Cream all over

Nicomide

Like I said, it is all prescription except for the Cetaphil which the doc reccomended, the Clean&Clear and Almay make-up which are both items I've used for a long time.

It's not the simplest routine, but IT'S WORKING! I've been on the Yaz, Differin, Mimyx, and Solodyn for about 5 months. I just started the Spiro and Nicomide about a week and a half ago and it has already made a huge difference.

BP is the devil. I will never put it on my face again!!!

Morning

Dermalogica Ultracalming Cleanser

Clindamycin 1%

Cetaphil Sensitive Skin Moisturizer/Dermalogica Sheer Tint SPF 15

Night

ASAP Daily Glycolic 12% Face Wash

ACV Toner (sometimes)

Clindamycin 1%

Finacea for spot treatment

Aloe Vera on dry areas

Medication

Minocycline (150 mg)

Valette BCP

Diet

Very limited dairy intake

No red meat

Fruit & Veggies everyday :)

2 Tablespoons of ACV

Vitamins: C, Fish Oil, Zinc, B-Complex

Ummm, other than that I try not to touch my face a lot, but I still do it obsessively heh. I'm trying to take an all-around approach to acne, although you will have to sedate me and drag me into a gym in order for me to ever set foot in one. Right now I have no new active acne, just a couple of healing spots. The real trouble is those pesky red marks which I seem genetically predispositioned to get. So i'll be lurking in the "Red Marks Forum" a lot.

See my sig.

After 18 years with acne my face looks the best it ever has in my life with this regimen. I'm not 100% clear but very near to it.

I have come to believe simpler is better. I have tried eliminating the ACV only to break out...I have tried eliminating the BP and then started to break out.

I believe the combo of the two and eliminating almost all else was the key to finding a regimine that worked for me.
