I was just wondering if dry skin from using BP too often or too much will cause acne? Why is it necessary to moisturize when you are not dry. I notice when my face is dry I have fewer pimples, but if I go to long without it a few days I break out.

Think about this for a second.

Picture dry skin on your elbow. Looks cracked. Well when the skin on your face gets dry, there are a lot of little cracks on your face that anything small enough, i.e. dirt and dust can get caught on while you're out.

MOISTURIZE!

But that is what BP does to kill the bacteria. Why is it exactly necessary to moisturize everyday?

Okay....

So, BP doesn't dry out your skin to kill the acne. BP works as a peeling agent, increasing skin turnover and clearing pores, thus reducing the bacterial count there as well as directly as an antibacterial.

Dry skin is a nasty side-effect, and usually means that you're not used to it. People always think that oily skin=zits and drying out oily skin is the way the clear it! Wrong-o.

Moisturizing will help to reduce irritation, and make your skin cells beneath the surface healthier and happier.

Plus, the more you keep your face moisturized, the better you will age in the future.
