My cystic acne

Recommended Posts

I must emphasize. THE TOPICALS DO THE HEAVY HITTING in this regimen. If you aren't using the recommended products by BFG, i really doubt you'll get the results that I experienced so quickly. The combination of the two oxy products is very unique. I think the fiber is just supportive.

btw, I really don't think tea tree oil is that effective in treating acne, from personal experience. in my skin, it causes really bad irritation.

Dan's reg was horrible for my skin. I tried it around a year ago and within a week i Looked i had second degree burns. I was still faithful tho but my husband forced me to stop using it. I'm glad he did. It took me around 6 months to get rid of the hyperpigmentation caused by that reg. Bfg, i recomended your reg to my friend who is getting married in three weeks time and within 5 days her acne is all gone she just has a few marks left which makeup will cover fine. You made a bride-to-be very happy. God bless you.

I've been taking 6 of the psyllium fiber pills a day for about a week. I don't really notice too much of a difference in my cystic acne.

I actually just had a breakout today :(... just when I thought my scars were healing up and now I have like 10 new pimples.

:( don't worry I won't give up yet :)!!

As john1234 so very well stated. You need to use the topicals as well. The fiber is supportive. The topicals and the fiber are a powerful combination. Taking even one item out can mess up the whole balance of the reg. Not following the reg as listed and leaving items out. I cannot ensure the success of what your doing then. Because your going outside of what I detailed out.

So please keep to the reg. I layed out. :D

btw, bfg? did you just replace the raisins???

I found the fiber capsules to be much more effective and easier to take, then eating the raisins. Plus I found it to hard as well as almost sickening to the amount of raisins I was eating everyday. I was almost eating bucket loads. To achieve the same effect that the fiber capsules now do a whole lot better at. In essence I have refined it down.

Thank-you :D and congrats to the bride to be.

Yes Dan's reg is not the answer. Even the toughest of skins would bow down to Dans overpowering reg. Just about every comment on his reg talks about burnt skin, skin stinging, skin hurting, rashes, skin changing tones, skin looking like a crack donut. Their is even a so called break in time. Which the bp will induce huge acne flare ups and cause pimples to hurt more. Yes and when you do finally stop using that joke regimen it takes about 6 months to almost a year to recover from it. It took me almost 8 months to fully recover from it. I had several people ask me if I was ok and needed help.

Your bride to be needs to be careful with starting a new reg like mine. While it doesnt cause acne to worsen. It will draw underlying acne up to the skin. Which will causes a speed up of the impending acne you where going to get within a few days or a week.

The difference between acne worsening on dans reg and acne being drawn up on my reg is. That my reg does not make acne worst. It simply draws it up to the surface. Dan's reg actually induces strong acne flare ups during the break in time in which they are painful and the intense application of BP causes these pimples to become extremely sensitive in which allot of cases they can become cystic in nature and are slow to pop and heal.

Everybody's questions that have been given to me I have met them with straight answers. That is becoming a rareity these days in this forum. Please keep the questions coming and more importantly keep doing the reg. :D

What kind of fiber pills did you buy? I would think taking 6 a day would start to get expensive.

Wal-mart sells their brand of them which is way cheaper then the name brand.

Sams Club has their own brand of them as well which is really cheap.

I think even costco has their brand.

After taking six for a month you can drop down to about 3 or 4 a day. For starters 6 is what you really need. I still take 6 a day myself. 3 or 4 would be ok.

Hmmm. Well I disagree with almost everything you say about DKR. I know a lot of people from this site that have claimed success with it. I wouldn't call it a joke regime either. Its actually a very traditional form of acne control. And I have tried DKR and only had moderate success. One thing I can say is I never even came close to dry, burning, rashing, or irritated skin. I mean the cleanser is gentle, the BP is only 2.5 and your supposed moisturize on top of that. Really I think it would take someone with radically different skin genetics to get hurt by the DKR. Also you have to account for all the people that do regimens the wrong way. Take for example the guy a few posts above who said the 6 fiber capsules a day weren't really helping him. That guy was only a week in and he wasn't even using the whole regimen that you outlined clearly more than once.

Aside from that though I myself have adopted your regimen. I have everything necessary to do it. It sounds like a great way to fight acne. A real conceptual way with the fiber theory and all. I want to thank you for posting and coming back to the forum to educate new members because acne is still very much a modern day problem. There is only one thing different in my regimen; right now I'm taking doxy which was prescribed by my derm. I'll let you know and everyone else how it goes after I run out of my first fiber bottle. Btw my main problem is bacne and its moderate persistant, not cystic. Later

See here's the problem most people who have even claimed success on Dan's Regimen. Or even the success photos that are shown. Yes their skin is clear but they are doing untold damage to their skin. Their skin looks dull, tired and worn out. By applying the excessive amounts of BP on their face everyday. Having to use a moisturize is covering up the fact that the reg has a huge stripping and dry effect. Plus a moisturizer is the last thing you want to put on when you have acne. Especially cystic acne. Also allot of people have found returning acne when on Dan's Regimen. I do not explain my regimen away. Their are people doing Dan's Reg exactly and still they are passed off as doing the reg wrong. Even the 2.5% caused allot of people problems with burning and drying. Plus do you really want to wear bp for the next 10, 20 years or however long you have acne. Do you really want to spend untold amounts of time in the bathroom trying to prefect his regimen. Or would you rather switch to a regimen that dosent take near as long, you dont have to wear it and your skin actually feels refreshed after doing it.

if my skin slightly burns on this reg am i doing something wrong

You could be overwiping or not getting all the oxy bar soap or bp off your face.

Please describe to me how you go about the regimen. Then I can see if their is something your missing or not doing right.

bfg,

i have to try your regime but i have one concern. i have cystic acne on one side of my face(right side, below chin) but the rest of my face is clear. is it safe to due your regime with that in mind? i'd just like to keep the cysts isolated and hopefully not have it spread(god forbid).

thanks

i lather the bar soap in my hands then apply to my face and neck trying not to rub too much. wipe it off with a cool cloth. put the oxy cold bp on. wait 15 mins then use the cool cloth to wipe that off.

its my cheeks that will burn. i think its from the bar soap.

Make sure you are using a clean cloth to wipe the oxy chill factor off. Try appllying a little less oxy bar soap on your cheeks. Just one quick swipe across the cheeks. Then do the other areas normal amount. Do you shave??? I assume this could be causing some of the problem. For all the shavers out their I Recommend shaving somewhere around midday or evening. This will give your face a little time to calm down before you do the reg. I would also ensure that you are fully wiping off the oxy bar soap and chill factor. Make sure their is no excess left on the skin. You could even try doing the reg just once a day. It might take slightly longer to see improvements.

Hey john1234, how is the regimen coming for you? I am still hesitant on trying this but at this point it might be my only option. The antibiotics I have been taking are wearing off and now my cystic acne is returning full force. John, do you happen to have some before pictures so we can get an idea on the improvement? Sorry to be so nosy.

i'm all clear, only red marks that don't matter. funny how things change in a matter of 2 weeks. i must say....if this clearness continues, bfg is my savior. i was on downhill ever since i started breaking out after my accutane cousre.

so far so good. nothing new cropping up. no pictures...i would never put pictures of myself on the internet. but it has prevented acne from cropping up for more than a week now. thats almost a record for me. and i won't lie about this kind of stuff. why would i? to jinx myself? to trick people? haha man, i know what acne does, i would never talk about results that i didn't obtain.

and its not the accutane taking effect. i've been off that stuff for awhiel now.

All clear as in now cystic acne or no acne at all? I guess I'm just pessimistic about all this but I want to believe it. How bad was your acne before you started this?

like i said, all clear. nothing on my face. i'm not lying.

my acne before this regime was just like 1 huge pimple every three days. So in a week, i would have three huge splotches on my face. this regimen has prevented them so far.

Lol you got that post in before I was able to post. lol O well I will just leave the post up of what I was gonna say.

I'm sure he means all clear as in no cystic acne or moderate acne. Just leftover redmarks from previous cystic acne or moderate acne spots he had. The red marks should subside and fade out.

Its plain and simple this regimen works. I have spent a huge amount of time studying the right combination to fight acne both internal and external. This reg battles acne on all fronts. Both internal via fiber and external via the oxy products.

JoeyThePhish

Here is your options you either drop everything and try the reg. Or you live with your acne and continue what you are doing which probably isnt working since your on this board. Let see you can try a reg that will get rid of those painful pulsating keep you up all night cyst or pimples. Or you can go to a derm and run the entire gambit like I did and realize at the end of the road nothing they offered really worked. You still have the same amount of painful pulsating keep you up all night cyst and pimples. Or you can try my reg and go to bed with not a pimple or cyst on your face and actually get a good night sleep and not have to worry about a face full of painful acne when you wake up. This is what it boils down to JoeyThePhish. Take it or leave it. I'm not going to play the doubt game with posters. I will help them with the reg. and questions they have. But the doubt game is something I realized is a waste of time with posters. I would spend hours writing up huge long post convincing people to try it. At this point in time I figure they either do the reg or dont.
