Hello, I'm an African-American with moderate/severe acne. I'm 16 years old, and I've tried a lot of the regimens, but to no avail. I mainly get whiteheads and blackheads, and rarely cysts. But my problem is that, even IF I DO NOT POP the pimple, when it goes away, IT LEAVES A dark DISCOLORATION. Would the regimen still be of help to me? Does it apply to darker complexions of skin? Thanks.

in theory, i believe that you won't have any discoloration if you can prevent blemishes.

of course, preventing blemishes is the hard part.

I don't think the regiment helps with discoloration, but it helps prevent blemishes. And if you don't get blemishes, then discoloration won't happen. After you're clear, you'll just have to find another way to make the discoloration fade. At that time, visit the red marks forum.

i just want to add that dan's regimen may not completely prevent blemishes. so, it may be necessary to add additional steps, like i've done.
