acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted February 26, 2008 Oh I wouldnt exactly consider Aquaphor a lotion, but I do use it alot, especially on my freaking nose that itches like mad! The aquaphor moisturizes well but it isnt really helping with my itchiness.Yes that pizza is great and now Im eating four pieces of this dark chocolate I bought at trader joes. Im listening to sattle lite radio and they are playing the most ridiculous song. Everytime I hear the song Someone Left the Cake Out in the Rain I just want to burst out in laughter Who bakes a cake in the rain, what a silly song and its soooo long! Its like an eight minute songI unfortunately have to change my derm appointment because one of those classes to renew my liscence is on that day and it conflicts with it. I would like to go the day before but my parents dont have time to drive me there, its far, and I do not drive.I did apply a thin layer of the hydrocortisone cream. It definitely wasnt a thick layer. I will only use it until tomorrow since I know this kind of cream can thin the skin. I will also continue with the cool compress and of course the clenia and my moisturizerIm gonna go watch taped episodes of family feud and then Im gonna apply my name up before I have to leave for the bus stop to go to work the night shift. I changed my work schedule. I will probably read your reply tonight Melanie and reply either around 12 or tomorrow morning
JustaMomToo 5 Share Posted February 26, 2008 haha That song is quite the classic disco one right - Donna Summer? If you find that the area you applied the hydrocortisone cream to feels better, that's interesting because I know you can't use it for that long, but read the directions on the tube. I think it can be used for more than two days, and then you could apply it thinly to your other areas. If you don't wanna continue to use that after tomorrow, then use whatever makes your skin feel the best, along with the cool compress. Are you still finding that you sweat at night? I'm wondering if that sweating, then drying of the sweat, is really irritating your skin. Good luck with getting an appointment quickly. Your CNA stuff is more important at this time, just as long as you continue with your products that you know make your skin feel its best. Then you'll have to see what he does the next time you can see him.OK... well now you're talking about chocolate, and the song is referring to cake so... Ciao!

It turns out I do have sometime to engage in written conversation before I leave. Yes thats the song Im talking about but I was listening to the Richard Harris MacArthur Park version and thats the eight minutes version. It has to be one of the funniest songs EVER made :D Actually, lately my body temperature has been really wack in bed. I will be super cold, then sweat, then super cold, then sweat, etc. Its never consistant. Im not sure why. I wouldnt be surprised if I have a thyroid problem. I need to get tested for it. I am tired all the time, moody, have trouble losing weight, I have white spots on my nails, etc. Plus, my mom has a thyroid problem too and she has anemia Im gonna have to think of something else in addition to warm compresses and Aquaphor to relieve this itchiness. Yes my CNA stuff is definitely more important right now. Without a renewal of my CNA liscence and I have no job and without a job, I have no apartment or food! lol In the words of Stacy from What Not to Wear "Shut up!" Do not talk about chocolate cake :(

I tried jojoba oil before and I didnt like it Really? There are so many kinds of oils though, like Emu Oil. It's kind of scary to try things out though... I was scared, I was just lucky to have found a good mix in the second try. The first try caused comedones. >_< I decided to try the OCM because my acne got to it's worst point when I started using a Garnier thing for blemishes...

JustaMomToo 5 Share Posted February 29, 2008 Hey!I was just checking in to see if you posted anything GOOD about your skin for a change!!! I read a lot of different things about itching skin, however, nothing seems to point directly to just facial itching other than the obvious ones like dry skin, healing skin, allergic to topicals, irritation, etc. I wonder if it is related to your other symptoms you're experiencing that you think might be due to your thyroid. Obviously, you would have to go to the doctor to have that checked out because if you add up all your symptoms, perhaps it is related to that.Anyway, let us know how your skin is doing because it's around the 6-week mark and it should be getting better I would think by now. What are your thoughts? Hope your CNA licensing training is going well. Ciao!
acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted February 29, 2008 I do not think the itchiness is related to my thyriod by I do have constant joint pain, sweating profusely, tiredness, weight gain, etc. The itchiness I believe is either related to the weather, to something Im putting on my face, or something Im eating. It could be one or a combination of some of those things. I have noticed a difference in the color of my cheeks (they are not as red) but I dont notice much difference in my blemishes, the color or the amount of them I have. I have like over twenty on my chin. It looks horrible and its painfulThank you! I am taking a class to renew my liscence next Thursday and CPR classes are held every Saturday morning. I will go on my next Saturday off which isnt until March 15th I believe.
acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted February 29, 2008 I woke up to another lovely pustule on my chin =/ I cannot wait for the day I dont have one new pimple. I break out everyday and Im tired of it. It sucks major Molly booty
acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted March 1, 2008 I might skip wearing make up tomorrow. My face is so red and itchy. I like the way prescriptives makes me look but Im wondering if my make up has anything to do with why my skin is so crappy. I wonder what the ingredients in Prescriptives Virtual Matte are anyway. I cannot find them listed
acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted March 1, 2008 I have this new cystic pimple on my chin and its driving me nuts because it itches like a mosquito bite
snoopysimaginaryfriend 0 Share Posted March 1, 2008 Hi Molly, long time no post but I have been following your progress.Maybe you are allergic to something you're eating. You're probably really busy but if you have time maybe you could try keeping a food diary and make a quick note of what you're eating and if your skin changes significantly. If it is the weather do you think its the cold or damp? Oddly my skin loves the colder weather but I tend to get itchy skin in the summer. Guess it just goes to show there is no one size fits all solution.
willow569 7 Share Posted March 1, 2008 Sorry that you are still getting new spots most days. Do the breakouts feel like they are slowing down or going away faster than before, or does it seem like there is really not much change?

All my favorite foods contain dairy. I think the main thing though is the weather. My doesnt like winter weather at all! My skin looks better in the summer than it does in the winter. My skin feels so dry in the winter Oh by the way Melanie, I had a piece of apple pie for breakfast. I couldnt sleep at all. My body is so sore and I kept on sweating even though the heater was at 40 degrees! For dinner, Im having green beans again and three chicken stripps from trader joes which I baked in the oven

acne_battle 6 Author Share Posted March 2, 2008 Sorry that you are still getting new spots most days. Do the breakouts feel like they are slowing down or going away faster than before, or does it seem like there is really not much change? To me it doesnt seem like there is much change. My pimples never seem to heal; its weird. Poor Molly, if these symptons were a one off I'd say it sounds like the flu. Do you have a fever? No I dont have a fever. What really sucks about all of this is I was acne free for one full year, like I didnt even have mild acne and then boom a couple of winters ago, I started breaking out in moderate acne again and its been nonstop ever since. When I was a teenager, I had severe acne. Im about to post a pic of my acne again. This is after I washed my face, put my Clenia on, and put on some Aquaphor. I put my head at a certain angle so you have an accurate look of my chin Edit: UGH the pic wont fit! I will put it under my gallery and it should show up tomorrow or the next day
JustaMomToo 5 Share Posted March 2, 2008 lol I feel so bad that you keep breaking out. When is your next derm appt? I can't wait to see what he's going to say. But I laughed when I got to the part where you said you had apple pie for breakfast haha! Apple pie is one of the best pies around! I also love cherry, blueberry, and mixed berry pies! I can't say I've ever had one for breakfast though Your face itching... do you have a down pillow that might be causing problems? That could explain why it's just your face and not bodily itching. Or, I wonder if sweating and the sweat drying could be causing some itchiness. I have totally run out of 'itching' ideas and can't wait for your derm to clear this whole thing up for you!Yummy dinner. It's good to see you like vegetables too! I can pretty much say I've always liked vegetables, with the exception of lima beans - yuck!Take care!Ciao!

Yummy dinner. It's good to see you like vegetables too! I can pretty much say I've always liked vegetables, with the exception of lima beans - yuck! Take care! Ciao! I need to call and reschedule my derm appointment. Hopefully, I can get in next Monday. My derm is one of few derms where I can get an appointment almost instantly instead of waiting months at a time. I tell you its the Celexa making me crave apple pie. I also had coffee ice cream when I got home from work which was around 11:15pm. I lost two pounds and I will probably just gain it back again. Ive always loved sweets but not like this. I was able to say no, but now that Im on celexa, I just cannot say no. I have to have it. I have like OCD on this stupid medication. I like celexa because it lifts my depression and I dont cry, but those are some pretty annoying side effects to have My pillow is a therapeutic pillow I bought at macys. I always put a pillowcase over it and I change them about every two days and lately Ive been sleeping with a soft towel on top of the pillowcase. Im out of ideas to stop this itching too. Ive tried a bunch of things and they just dont work. Ive tried cold compresses, Ive tried warm compresses, Ive tried hot but not burning hot compresses, Ive tried moisturizing with aquaphor and Ive tried that hydrocortisone cream. Im out of ideas now I dont really like vegetables that much. I am very particular about the veggies I like. I dont like collieflower, I love broccoli, green beans, other veggies but my ultimate favorite are red bellpeppers You take care too! Ill probably come on here before I go to work tomorrow. Im not sure when though. I might sleep in until 11. Its 1:00 now so Im gonna go hit the haystack. Goodnight everyone who has posted under my journey today :)
