Encouraging The Skin To Peel

Recommended Posts

My acne is clearer than usual due to the PanOxyl and Tetralysal that I've been prescribed. However, it now is really dry and peeling! When looking at my skin, I can see the little skin flakes, which unfortunately are seemingly glued to my skin and will not come off no matter what I try! Moreover, my skin is peeling unevenly, so I now have a complexion like marble. Is there any way to promote skin peeling, without a professional chemical skin peel, which was discouraged by my dermatologist?

You can try gentle manual exfoliation with a facial brush, an electric toothbrush with the round, spinning head, or with a baby's hair brush. I'd do any of those very gently and use your cleanser (gentle cleanser, please) at the same time.

I'd also apply some non-comedogenic moisturizer. :)

I'll try the toothbrush, that's interesting. Thanks!

Any other ideas people?
