Almost fully recovered

Recommended Posts

Man, I thought it'd never end.

Im approaching the end of my 2nd month and all the sudden about 2 weeks ago I got AMAZING improvment

On the side of my face depicted, I have nearly no actives and my skin feels awesome. The flash really accentuated the redness in my face, but it looks MUCH better in person!

YAY!

THe doctor had to give me a shot yesterday. I'm really scared of all the side effects, but i'm trying not to think about it. Good lucK!

Day 3

Definitely feel some major purging going on, I do not know if its due to the Tane. I have whiteheads the size of skyscrapers and my skin feels a little tense and more dry than usual.

Day 5

All the redness is pretty much out of my face. This may be due to my stopping BP and SA?

All of my cysts and whiteheads seem to be deteriorating rapidly and when they sprout up they do not stay long.

As far as side effects my skin is very dry and my digestive system seems to be being effected. I have a hard time digesting food.

Pics of today after shower:

hey tmilli,

I also noticed a drastic improvement only a week in to accutane and then at about day 12, i got a minor breakout around my mouth area but it cleared up quite quickly. You will prolly notice lots of small breakouts every so often but as time goes by they will get less frequent and not as many spots forming.

Be patient, i'm sure you will see great results.

TC,

Nick

Day 8

Face is very dry after showering. I am still breakout out, but the breakouts seem to be much less severe. Before Accutane my face was in dire pain; it hurt to open my mouth widely. This pain has nearly completely subsided. My stomach is definitely disrupted by the Tane, but I have been taking it on a near empty stomach with a breakfast bar and an apple.

Anybody know how important it is to take Accutane with food?

My side effects have been almost completely unnoticeable thus far; I feel like something has to go wrong soon haha.

The drug should be taken with (that means, "at the same time as"...) fat. It's fat-soluble. You won't absorb most of it if you don't take the drug with, for instance, a fatty meal, or a glass of whole milk.

And, as Hoofy so correctly commented, you're gonna fuck-up your liver if you keep drinking heavily. Ideally, you shouldn't drink at all, and if you find it hard to limit yourself once you start drinking (as I certainly do), my advice would be to cut-out booze completely. Whether you do as I advise is down to you... but I'll say one more thing - pay no attention to the fucking morons who roam these threads bragging to everyone that they got wrecked three or four times a week while they were on the drug and insist that they're "fine". They may be "fine" now, but let's see how clever they feel when their livers die, later in life.
