why moisterise after a bath or shower if my skin becomes greasy again straight away?

I would assume people moisturize to help soften their "dry" skin. my derm told me not to use any moisturizer in the summer time because of the extreme heat and humidity...it's not like the winter time where the cold drys out your face in that case you'll need to moisturize.

I may be wrong, just wait for others to respond :P

i find that moisturizing straight away after washing my face, with a light water based moisturizer, with only the amount that absorbs quickly, makes my face less greasy.

Maybe if my skin is already hydrated, it does not make more oil? like a kind of bio-feedback thing....

but i never moisturize over greasy skin, only on clean skin, otherwise it doesnt absorb and just gunges up my pores.
