Guest The Effendi Share Posted July 5, 2007 Yesterday I felt extraordinarily ugly, but no one would agree with me.I feel insane sometimes, like everyone's lying. Am I alone on this?
MoreThanAFace 0 Share Posted July 5, 2007 Gotta say I agree with them on this one: you're not "extraordinarily ugly," you're not even "plain." You have beautiful features, especially your eyes. Why do you suppose you're the only one who has this opinion of your looks?

Wynne 131 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Why do you suppose you're the only one who has this opinion of your looks? 'Cause no one else will admit it!!!! They HAVE to be lying, it's so friggin' annoying.Although this Psychopharmacologist( ) I saw told me I had Body Dysmorphia.......................but I don't agree. pop politics 0 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Feelings can often be very deceiving, yet they almost always dictate our thoughts. You may have felt ugly for reasons other than what literally makes a person aesthetically unattractive.

Whatsitgonnabe 0 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Melancholic molly you're really pretty and charming both on the inside and outside..some peple are ugly both ways, not to be mean..but I'm quite shallow and then I don't mean about acne since I know it's like a social handicap and tabu-very sensitive topic, but I always defend the pretty ones. Don't like ugly people.

Bunney 0 Share Posted July 6, 2007 I have to agree with most people on here that you are beautiful. Heck stunning even. But it does sound like you may have BDD...you are not the only beautiful person I know that seems to suffer from it..I suggest you get another opinion....

Elsewhere 33 Share Posted July 6, 2007 I wouldn't say you are crazy. I'd say you're human. It's nearly impossible to have a sense of self (and that includes how we feel about our appearence) that doesn't fluctuate from day to day - and depending on which human you're talking to - sometimes WILDLY day to day.Life is not static and neither are we. To expect yourself to be is insanity (which is, when it comes down to it, also perfectly normal and part of the human experience, too).Anyhow, that probably wasn't helpful, but I'm feeling metaphysical today. In any case, please don't give up and please keep talking. That is what we are here for.
