Using sunscreen instead of moisturizer?

Recommended Posts

I burn SO easily in the summer. I've completely given up the idea of ever getting a tan so instead of trying to tan and getting burned I'm just going to cake on the sunscreen! My question is, all the moisturizers with SPF I have used leave my skin super oily.

I have found Neutrogena Ultra-Sheer SPF 70 does does exactly what is says -- leaves my skin matte, not oily -- and it is non-comedogenic. Is it ok to use this in place of moisturizer or I should moisturizer (I use Neutrogena For Men Sensitive) and then the sunscreen?

BTW -- I use BP at night and Alpha Hydroxy lotion at night. I don't use BP during the day as I've had problems getting my shirt collars stained.

If your skin is not dry or flaky using only the sunscreen, then I don't see why not.

Some sunscreen lotions are quite moisturizing and could be used in lieu of a moisturizer, imo.

My skin gets dry really easily so I can't skimp out on moisturizer. If you find that you're the same way here's a little trick I use - I just mix my sunscreen with my moisturizer and then put it on. It has been working really well for me.
