i was watching my local news last night, it showed a woman with mild acne with some scarring on her cheeks. she was talking about how her acne wasnt responding to conventional treatments, including creams, antibiotics, etc.

then it cut to showing her in a dermatologist office

she went in

and they were talking about this device called the "PPx" system

it looks kinda like a powersaw and a ray gun haha

well, they said this device gently vaccumes up the skin, like sucks it up

and then a flash of some kind of light flashes the sucked up sking and immediately cleans out the oil gland of all the bacterica pus and sebum

destroying the acne, while doing a good job getting rid of scars as well

they said it's a 30 minute session, 5 times ( 5 thirty-minute sessions)

that are 2 weeks apart

then after that 3 months later a maintenance checkup

anyone ever hear of this PPx thing?

I can see it doing good in stopping acne and active pimples and such but Im not sure how it can help scarring...... maybe the sucking up action plumps up depression in the skin, over time the skin becomes smoother...
