Just prescribed benzamycin

I'm a 19-year-old female and I have moderate to almost severe acne. My doctor prescribed benzamycin 2 days ago and I've been using it since. My question is: is there a certain face wash or moisturize I'm supposed to use to go with it?

I'm currently using this as a facewash:

Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Cleanser

and

Clean & Clear Advantage Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer

Are those okay?

Plus, my face feels REALLY, REALLY itchy. Is that supposed to happen when I apply benzamycin?

Hey there, i see the 2 products you listed contain Salicylic acid, which when used along side benzoyl peroxide will cause irritation (which would explain your itching)

what i would do, is buy 2 new product, that have are not medicated, non oil and non pore-blocking :) then you'll be fine due to bezamycin being a really good treatment :)

Don't use a medicated face wash at the same time as Benzamycin. That will increase irritation. I have been using Benzamycin for 7 weeks. I did have some itching in the beginning despite using no other medications with it. Just try not to use too much, and DON'T SCRATCH. This medication does cause some peeling and dryness and if you scratch your face and peel the skin off you could get a bad scar. The itching should subside as you get used to the medication, but for me the dryness and peeling continued until the blemish was totally healed. It was really embarrassing but I just tried to be patient. I still have a lot of dryness and some peeling in the really bad areas. But my skin continues to improve on this medication. The key is to not use too much. I have trouble with that, I tend to over-do it and then my skin gets too dry.
