hydrogen peroxide or witch hazel?

I've heard that both of those are effective in cleansing the skin and removing bacteria, therefore diminishing acne.

Has anyone tried it?

I used to use it but didn't notice anything except my skin whitened over time. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with deep skin tones.

I've been using hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda lately, and it's done wonders (as in, the pimples I had flattened in one day), but today I left the hydrogen peroxide out and just used baking soda with water because I am unsure if using hydrogen peroxide can be damaging over time. Still, it sure does work.

If you're going to use witch hazel, make sure it's properly distilled. The witch hazel from the drugstores is not made right. It's basically just like putting alcohol on your face. You want the organic stuff sold at herbal shops.
