The chin/mouth area looks disgusting :( Help (PICS INCLUDED)

Ive got all of these red/dark spots, think its hyperpigmentation. And all the redmarks that are one the dark area does not go away. Ive had red marks that have come and go on other areas, but the ones on my chin does not go away. So the biggest problem is the darks spots, and notice the brown marks at the corners of my mouth. Ive have that for almost a year now and the last 2 weeks at has gotten worse, i think its because of the sun. And its been like this since august last year, but i didnt have so many redmarks back then.

Anyone got any tips of what i should do?

First off, welcome to acne.org :wavey: This place is very addictive so watch out

Using a toner and sunscreen helps my redmarks fade a bit. Maybe that would help you to

A lot of people have had success with ACV - apple cider vinegar - have you looked into that?

ive tried acv and baking soda and didnt really notice any diffrent but i think the problem is that i first need the get rid of the damaged area that there is brown/dark spots and then the red marks.

and i think acv just makes the dark spots worser.

brown marks take a while to completely disappear, mine are taking ages. My red marks cleared up pretty quickly though. Your skin looks just like mine did about 6months ago. I tried ACV for a while and i swear it made my brown marks darker so be careful with that stuff might just be me but ill warn you anyway. I think the best thing for your state would be a low % glycolic product that you apply everday, this is the one i used:

http://perfectskin.uk.com/Scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=88

I love this product it worked wonders for the general complextion, colour and marks on the skin, i saw results really quickly as well, this is a UK based site though, where do you live? maybe there is a better site for your area.

two bits of advice I can give you though

1. wear a sunscreen, be careful which one you get though make sure its specific for your face and try to find one which doesnt block your pores you still got some active acne by looks of it. I used one from ambre soliaire which had vitamin E in it too which was nice not sure if it done anything but sounded nice.

2. Try stay away from random products that say they will get rid of your makes, use this forum and look at product ratings on this site or ask at the forum before you buy or try something this place really does help. I spent loads of money on skin lighteners and stuff like that which for me did nothing but waste my time.

well i think the purpose of Salicylic Acid is to keep the pores clean thus preventing more breakouts effected by dirt and stuff I doubt it will do much for your brown marks though. Would be more effective if you used glycolic.
