I am so new to all this vitamin and herb stuff so I am hoping someone out there can answer my question. I bought some zinc 50mg today but then I came across these supplements for body, hair, skin and nails and it has 5mg of zinc in it. I have heard that 50mg is what you take if you want to see results but these supplements only have 5. Would it be ok to take the supplement and the 50mg zinc? This would be a total of 55mg.

I tried the zinc mega dosing and I yakked the whole week I did it. You have to be very careful with this kind of stuff

Upto 100 mg per day is safe dosage for zinc.When you are supplementing on zinc for long term you need to take copper supplement too else it may impair the immune system due to imbalance of minerals

You have to take them with food or you'll get nauseous.
