Retin-A at night and BP (Benzaclin) in the morn.

This is what my derm prescribed to me.

I have been on this for about 1 moth and a few weeks, my face is pretty red, like I went snow skiing or something!

But it is working....

yeah it sounds pretty irritating...but a good regime...

Did he tell you to moisturize? You can try using a less of an amount and work yourself up, gradually.

i did that for a year and got sick of the redness and peeling. i just stopped retin-a and i'm just doing benzaclin right now. my face isn't red or peely but i get more breakouts. going back to the doctor soon; i'm going to ask her for something else.

I found retin-a micro too irritating. You can try replacing it with differin, which is more mild, but works using the same mechanism.

I'm using BP washing suspension(4%) both in the morning and evening along with a creme called Airol(0.5 % Tretinoin) which I use only in the evening-all suggested by a derm.My skin is really better now (I've been on this regimen for 2 months), but I still get premenstrual breakouts (which are not that bad at all and last for 3-4 days).red spots and marks are fading incredibly fast tbecause my skin peels every 4-5 days.however, when I feel my skin's too dried out or unbearably red I stop with everything for a day or two and it gets back to normal.

The only thing that bothers me is that it's still oily.
